Materials – even difficult materials are machinable.

From stainless steel to exotic special alloys: BEUTTER machines virtually any material — with specific expertise in difficult-to-machine special materials for the most demanding applications.

material expertise
The right material for every task.

The material is a key factor in the function, service life and cost-effectiveness of a component. BEUTTER processes practically all machinable materials — and over decades has specialised particularly in difficult-to-machine materials: high-alloy steels, titanium and special materials such as Inconel, Hastelloy, molybdenum, tantalum or platinum-iridium. It is precisely these materials that place high demands on tools, cooling and process know-how. Upon request, we already provide advice during the material selection stage and ensure the complete traceability of every batch.

X-ray fluorescence measurement of a material during goods receipt inspection at BEUTTER 100 % Incoming Goods Inspection
goods inward inspection

Every material is inspected before it goes into production.

Mix-ups with materials can have fatal consequences. That is why, at BEUTTER, we inspect every single batch of material upon receipt using X-ray fluorescence (XRF) analysis. Within seconds, the measuring device confirms the actual alloy composition — regardless of the supplier's certificate.

  • Non-destructive testing of every batch by XRF
  • Reliable material identification instead of mix-ups
  • traveller with material number and batch
  • Seamless traceability back to the raw material

01

Material consultancy

Upon request, we offer consultation prior to production regarding the optimal choice of material — tailored to function, load and cost-effectiveness.

02

Procurement & References

We procure the appropriate raw material — including material certificates (e.g. EN 10204 3.1) for complete traceability.

03

machining

Using material-appropriate cutting strategies, tools and cooling, we machine even hard-to-work materials with process reliability.

04

Inspection & Traceability

Final inspection and documented batch traceability verify dimensional accuracy and material identity.

Do you have a challenging materials project?

Whether stainless steel, titanium or an exotic special alloy — send us your drawing. We will check feasibility and material and get back to you with a free initial assessment.
