Manufacturing process – Precision down to the micrometre.
Turning, milling, sliding head machining, grinding: BEUTTER masters the entire machining process for small, complex precision parts — from individual components to large-scale series, with micrometer-range tolerances and reproducible quality.
BEUTTER manufactures small, complex precision turned and milled parts, typically in the millimetre range, for industries where every micrometre counts. To achieve this, we combine modern CNC turning and milling centres, sliding head lathes and grinding technology into a seamless process chain. Whether it is an individual component, a prototype or large-scale production, we select the most economical method for each component and guarantee the required tolerances across the entire batch size.
On modern CNC lathes, BEUTTER manufactures rotationally symmetrical components with the tightest of tolerances. Some of the machines are equipped with handling robots for low-manpower manufacturing. Hard machining of hardened materials is also possible.
- CNC high-precision lathes (including BENZINGER, MONFORTS and Schaublin)
- Partly with handling robot for automated series
- Hard turning of hardened materials
- Complete machining with live tools
From the individual machining surface to the fully machined component: milling produces complex geometries and precise contours — even from difficult-to-machine materials such as stainless steel, titanium or nickel-based alloys.
- Complex geometries and free-form surfaces
- Even difficult-to-machine materials (V4A, titanium, Inconel)
- Tight geometrical product specifications and tolerances
- Compatible with turning and grinding operations
- Robodrill Handling System
Grinding is usually the final step after turning or milling — anywhere tolerances (IT5–IT6) or surface finishes (Ra ≤ 0.4 µm) can no longer be achieved economically with turning or milling, or when the component is in a hardened state.
- External cylindrical grinding up to Ø 60 × 500 (STUDER S20/S21/S31)
- Profile cylindrical external grinding with in-process gauging (SCHAUDT, MSO)
- Centreless grinding up to Ø 32 (SCHUMACHER, HERMINGHAUSEN)
- Internal and eccentric grinding loops
Honing is a precision finishing process with a cutting edge of undefined geometry. It improves dimensional accuracy, roundness and surface finish of bores — ideal for functional surfaces with the highest requirements for fit and sealing.
- fine boring of holes
- Maximum roundness and surface finish
- For tight fits and sealing surfaces
- Complements turning, milling and grinding processes
Deep hole drilling produces holes with a large depth-to-diameter ratio, whilst maintaining high straightness, dimensional accuracy and a good surface finish. Reliable chip removal and cooling are crucial in this process.
- Great drilling depths with a small diameter
- High straightness and dimensional accuracy
- Reliable swarf removal through internal cooling
- Even in difficult-to-machine materials
Before delivery, the parts are cleaned using a reliable process. For this purpose, BEUTTER uses a programme-controlled washing system with combined aqueous and organic cleaning, as well as a multi-stage ultrasonic immersion system with hot-air drying — in a low-particle design.
- Computer-controlled car wash (HÖSEL)
- Combined cleaning: aqueous
- Multi-stage ultrasonic immersion cleaning system
- warm air drying, low-particle design
